Since My Angel Said Goodbye
© 2006 Lyrics and music by Rick Swanson

Sittin’ all alone, with my head in my hands,
Watchin’ the world go by.
Thinkin’ of an angel with golden hair,
Her memory brings a tear to my eye.
Wondrin’ what to do, now that she’s gone,
I miss her so much I could die,
My world is cloudy, and oh so gray,
Since my angel said goodbye.

I remember her sweet smile, and the touch of her hand
As we strolled down the lane, side by side.
All that’s left is a memory of what used to be
It’s like somethin’ inside me has died.
I wonder if she thinks of a lonely heart
She’s broken and left behind.
I sit here alone, no reason to go on,
Since my angel said goodbye.

She brought sunshine to a world that had darkened with time
She drove all the dark clouds away
In her eyes I could see a future so bright
Now it’s all slippin’ away
So I’ll wander these lonely streets, just thinkin’ of the past
Wishin’ to the moon on high
That I could turn back the time, before I felt so alone
Since my angel said goodbye.
